About

Finsa, in plain facts. Who we are — and what we are not.

If you are checking whether Finsa is legitimate before you hand over a mobile number: this page is the whole answer, and every line of it is the same on the app, the lending partners’ paperwork and the company’s registration.

What Finsa is
A free Equifax credit-report check and a loan matchmaker: one soft check, then RBI-regulated banks and NBFCs send offers and you pick. Also a daily gold-savings pot you can aim at a loan and sell back to your bank.
What Finsa is not
Not a bank, not an NBFC, not a lender. Finsa does not lend, set rates, approve or reject applications, or take custody of loan funds.
Whose side it is on
Finsa is built on the borrower's side: lenders compete for you, you see every matching offer, you pay Finsa nothing, and your data is yours to delete.
Regulatory position
Finsa is a Lending Service Provider (LSP) operating under agreements with RBI-regulated lending partners. Finsa is not a bank or an NBFC, does not lend, and does not accept deposits. All credit decisions, interest rates, fees and terms are set solely by the lending partner. Loans are disbursed directly into the borrower's bank account — Finsa never takes custody of loan funds. A Key Fact Statement setting out the full cost of your loan is provided by the lending partner before you sign.

The questions people ask before they trust us

Is Finsa a lender?

No. Finsa is a Lending Service Provider: it reads your credit report with your consent and puts your profile in front of RBI-regulated banks and NBFCs, who alone decide eligibility, rate and approval and who disburse the loan straight into your bank account.

Is Finsa legitimate? How can I check?

Check the things RBI's Digital Lending Directions, 2025 require of any Lending Service Provider: the legal entity is named (Finsamudra Private Limited, Bengaluru), the loan is paid by the lender into your own account, the Key Fact Statement comes from the lender, a grievance officer is named with an email address, and no fee is asked of you. All five are on this page.

Does Finsa have an RBI licence?

No, and it does not need one for what it does. Lending Service Providers are not licensed by RBI; they act as agents of RBI-regulated lenders under written agreements, and those lenders answer to RBI for the LSP's conduct. Finsa does not lend, does not accept deposits and does not hold loan funds.

Does Finsa charge a processing fee, or anything at all?

No. Finsa charges no processing fee and no fee of any kind: the credit report, the offers and the match are free to the borrower. Finsa is paid by the lender on disbursal. Any processing fee of the lender's own is shown on its Key Fact Statement before you sign, and you can compare offers on that. Under RBI's Digital Lending Directions the LSP's fee is paid by the lender and cannot be collected from the borrower. The gold pot carries no Finsa fee either.

Does checking my credit score on Finsa lower it?

No. Finsa's check is a soft enquiry, visible only to you, and it does not affect your score. A hard enquiry happens only when you choose a lender and apply with it.

Where does the loan money come from?

From the RBI-regulated lender whose offer you accept, paid directly into your bank account. Finsa never takes custody of loan funds; the Directions forbid pass-through or pool accounts.

Is the gold in the Finsa pot real gold?

Yes. It is 24K digital gold bought and held in insured vaults by SafeGold; you can sell it back and receive the money in your bank by IMPS, usually within 30 minutes, with no Finsa fee. Gold is market-linked and its value can fall.

Is my data stored in India, and can I delete it?

Yes and yes. Data is stored on servers in India, collected only with explicit consent, and you can withdraw consent or delete your account and everything in it from inside the app.

How do I complain about Finsa or a lender?

Write to the grievance officer at grievance@finsamudra.com. If your complaint is not resolved within 30 days, you can escalate it to the Reserve Bank of India under the Integrated Ombudsman Scheme at cms.rbi.org.in.
