Low salary

₹15,000 a month? What decides your loan is what's left, not the figure.

A smaller salary does not shut the door; a salary that is already spoken for does. Lenders size a personal loan from the EMI your take-home can still carry after the EMIs you already pay, usually up to about half of it in total. At ₹15,000 with no other EMIs that is real room. At ₹15,000 with a phone EMI and a card balance it may be none.

Finsa's fee: ₹0. One check shows every lender's answer at once, so a thin salary isn't spent on a hard enquiry at every bank that says no.

In short

A personal loan on a low salary through Finsa: one soft check of your Equifax report, then offers from RBI-regulated banks and NBFCs sized on the EMI your take-home can still carry, typically up to about half of it including existing EMIs. Finsa is not a lender and charges no fee; each lender's own minimum income applies.

How it works

  1. 01

    Count what's already going out

Phone EMI, buy-now-pay-later, a card's minimum due, a two-wheeler loan. All of it comes off the same half of your salary a new EMI has to fit in.

  2. 02

    One check, not five rejections

Consent and one OTP, and Finsa reads your Equifax report. Checking is free and is a soft enquiry, so it never affects your credit score. Five bank applications would be five hard enquiries.

  3. 03

    See who says yes

The request goes to our lender partners together. Some write loans from ₹50,000; you compare what comes back and pick, or leave it.

Questions people ask

Can I get a personal loan on a ₹15,000 salary?
Yes, when little of it is already committed. With no other EMIs, half of ₹15,000 is a ₹7,500 EMI, which at an illustrative 20% over 36 months supports up to about ₹2,02,000. Many lenders also set a minimum take-home of their own, so at this income fewer of them answer, which is why checking several at once helps.
How much personal loan can I get on a ₹20,000 salary?
Up to about ₹2,69,000 over 36 months if you have no other EMIs, using half your take-home as the EMI room at an illustrative 20%. On ₹25,000 the same maths gives about ₹3,36,000, and on ₹30,000 about ₹4,04,000. Every existing EMI comes straight off that room. The full calculation →
Which loan app is best for a low salary?
The one whose loan comes from an RBI-regulated bank or NBFC named before you sign, with a Key Fact Statement showing the rate and every fee. Apps that lend small sums for a few weeks at a flat fee often cost far more a year than a personal loan, even when the fee looks small. How to tell a safe loan app →
Can I get a loan with a low salary and a low CIBIL score?
It is harder, because both push the lender the same way, but not closed: a lender that prices for risk may offer a smaller amount at a higher rate. Clearing a small EMI or a card balance first often helps more than waiting for a raise. Low score? Read this →
Do I need a salary slip?
Not for the check: it runs on your consent and your Equifax report, and you type your take-home yourself. The lender may ask for slips or a bank statement showing the salary credit at signing.
Is a smaller loan over a longer tenure better?
A longer tenure lowers the EMI so it fits a smaller salary, but you pay interest for longer. Pick the shortest tenure whose EMI still leaves you room for the month's essentials. Try the EMI calculator →
Will checking affect my credit score?
Checking is free and is a soft enquiry, so it never affects your credit score.
Does Finsa charge a processing fee?
Finsa charges no processing fee and no fee of any kind: the credit report, the offers and the match are free to the borrower. Finsa is paid by the lender on disbursal. Any processing fee of the lender's own is shown on its Key Fact Statement before you sign, and you can compare offers on that.

What a loan through Finsa costs

Tenure
Repayment runs from 6 months to 60 months.
Rate
Lending partners price personal loans from about 9.99% to 24% a year, on a reducing balance. Your rate is set by the lender from your credit profile, not by Finsa.
Example
Worked example: on ₹3,00,000 over 36 months at 14% a year, the EMI is ₹10,253 and the total repaid is ₹3,69,118, of which ₹69,118 is interest.
Fees
Finsa charges no processing fee and no fee of any kind. A lender's own processing fee, insurance or GST is extra, and each one is stated on the Key Fact Statement you get before signing.
