Wedding loan
Plan the wedding. Know the EMI before the venue's deposit.
A wedding loan is a personal loan used for a wedding: venue, catering, jewellery, travel, the lot. Nothing about it is special at the lender's end, which is good news, because it means you can compare it like any other loan, on the rate, the fees and the total you will repay, before you commit to a budget.
Finsa's fee: ₹0. See what lenders will offer first, then fix the budget around an EMI you can actually carry after the wedding.
In short
A wedding or marriage loan through Finsa is a personal loan: one soft check of your Equifax report, then offers from RBI-regulated banks and NBFCs priced on your income and existing EMIs. Finsa is not a lender and charges no fee; the rate and every lender charge are on the Key Fact Statement before you sign.
How it works
- 01
Set the EMI, then the budget
Work back from an EMI that still fits your month after the wedding, not forward from the quote the planner sent.
- 02
One check for every lender
Consent, one OTP, and Finsa reads your Equifax report. Checking is free and is a soft enquiry, so it never affects your credit score.
- 03
Compare the total, not the EMI
The request goes to our lender partners together. A longer tenure lowers the EMI and raises what you repay; the offers show both.
Questions people ask
- What does a ₹3 lakh wedding loan cost?
- At an illustrative 14% a year over 36 months, ₹3,00,000 is an EMI of about ₹10,253, and about ₹69,118 in interest overall. Your lender sets the actual rate from your credit profile and states it on the Key Fact Statement.
- How much wedding loan can I get?
- Lenders size it from the EMI your income can still carry after existing EMIs, usually up to about half of take-home in total, over a tenure of up to five years. Two earning family members applying separately each get assessed on their own income. How much on your salary →
- Is a marriage loan different from a personal loan?
- No. Banks market a "marriage loan" or "wedding loan", but it is an unsecured personal loan with the same rates and rules. That is why comparing several lenders' personal-loan offers covers every wedding loan on the market.
- Wedding loan or gold loan: which is cheaper?
- A gold loan is often cheaper and does not depend on your credit score, but it puts the family's gold at stake and is usually for a shorter term. A personal loan leaves the gold untouched. Compare the total repayment of both before choosing.
- Does the bride or groom need to apply?
- Whoever will repay it. The lender assesses the applicant's own income, existing EMIs and credit report, so a parent or sibling with steady income can borrow for the wedding in their own name.
- Will checking affect my credit score?
- Checking is free and is a soft enquiry, so it never affects your credit score.
- Does Finsa charge a processing fee?
- Finsa charges no processing fee and no fee of any kind: the credit report, the offers and the match are free to the borrower. Finsa is paid by the lender on disbursal. Any processing fee of the lender's own is shown on its Key Fact Statement before you sign, and you can compare offers on that.
